PC Cleanup Program Provided with New Dell Computers?
Has anyone used the PC Cleanup program provided with new Dell computers? If so, con you provide any insights into how it works and what problems it solved. Also, what problems running it my cause.

Hi Gumboman,
The Benefits of PC Tune up are:
(1) Remove unwanted and temporary files
(2) Enable automatic Windows updates
(3) Update security settings
(4) Perform other maintenance tasks that improve the system's performance
Please write back with more details if this is not the software you are talking about.

It's unnecessary, but I believe the vendor pays Dell to have it preinstalled, and in return Dell can sell the PC for a lower price. Apple does not do this, which makes their offerings more expensive but in turn faster and less trouble-prone. On the subject, you may find this article of interest.
Windows has its own utilities and applets for deleting temporary files, turning on automatic updates, and changing security settings.
