I have been getting the PCMservice failure at every startup as well.  I cannot find the program to load it back on to the computer (don't know how it disappeared).  Cannot play DVD's.  Cannot burn DVD's.

Where is the PCMservice program so I can 1) either reload it it, or 2) uninstall it properly since it seems to have vanished.  Have tried searching and cannot locate.  Have searched most of the CD's that came with the system.

Please help.

PCM service is basically DMX.   Find the Mulitmedia CD that came w/ your computer and reinstall DMX.   Also reinstall the Power DVD CD that came w/ your computer also.

Yes, I do, but . .. .  Do your instructions just re-install PCM Service?  Because that was crashing my system.  In addition to which, something was running in the background on my computer and slowing it down.  That stopped when I excised PCM.  Is all this going to start again?

First: uninstall DMX, then reinstall it off of the CD and then re install PowerDVD. taht should work i never have troubles, jsut update if u experience any troubles still.
