PowerDVD no bookmarks or screen capture

My PowerDVD on my Dimension 8400 does not have the interface that Cyberlink support shows that would allow me to make bookmarks or screen captures.  Also, I can't access the configuration page that they mention.  Has Dell disabled these features?

I use the fraps program (free version) for screen capture.

It can be found at:  http://www.fraps.com/

I went to the page you specified, but that interface does not show up when I play DVD's.  The interface that does show up is a barebones affair without many of the features of the regular interface.  The Ctrl+C and Ctrl+F2 keystrokes they mention do not work, either.  As I said before, these features appear to have been disabled.

I have the same type of pc you have, and I am having the same problems. All I have is the very bare bones version of Dell Media Experience. Just the basics that allow me to watch DVDs. It's really annoying. Strange thing is, I downloaded the patch a few days go. Everything was fine. Today I went to use the DME again, and it asked me to download yet again, the patch. Which I did. I thought by doing this I would get the "EXtra" programs that I was able to access before. No such change. Then I found out you had to download the PowerDVD first, so I went back and downloaded that, and tried to redownload the patch. It doesn't work. I don't know what to do. Between software problems and the firewalls from Norton and Windows blocking every webpage I try to access, I can't win. I usually end up disabling Norton. I also have SP2 on my pc. Any suggestions? I've been sitting here frustrated for most of the day. The only thing I did was use Spy Bot and Ad Aware to get rid of spyware.
