Yikes. I just upgraded to Windows 8, and I have the same problem. Looks like it has been unfixed for two years. So . . . now I have software that I paid for and can't access. I have tried everything from uninstalling, resetting using a fix I found on the forum, to trying different versions. Nothing works. Will there be a fix for this anytime in the near future?
I have a similar but not identical problem; I can download the software (and the top of the Dell Digital Delivery window says "Your software has been downloaded and installed"), but then it says, "There was a problem. Please reinstall." Choosing "Install this application again" gets me the same error; re-booting doesn't fix it either. I cannot use software I purchased.
Can I get this private message? I have 10 OptiPlex 7010s that came with Adobe and none of them will download, they all say the internet connection message above. I've uninstalled it, re-downloaded it (which gives an older version 2.1 than what was originally on there (2.5) and the older one doesn't even give a message.
I also have a problem with this program. When I start up my brand new Dell Inspiron SE laptop, the program Dell Digital Delivery opens and then freezes. I have to use Task Manager to quit it every time. This is a pain in the neck. How do I fix this?
I’d suggest that you reinstall the ‘Dell Digital Delivery’ Application as it seems to be corrupt.

Just purchased a XPS One 2720. Upgraded to Plextor MSATA 256GB. Have to reinstall Win8.1 64 bit due to unable to clone harddisk. I want to download all of the applications that came with the PC but, I was not able to install Dell Digital Delivery Application at all. I get error message "Dell Digital Delivery License Agreement has stopped working". Can someone please help.

Neoshotgun,
Dell Digital Delivery only needs to be used if you purchase Software with your system that needed to be downloaded.
The error you received is incorrect and we are in process of fixing it so thank you for providing us that information.
After further investigation you received all the software on your system. The fix is being deployed tonight.

The whole point of using a forum is so that when a problem gets solved, all those who have the problem can see how to resolve it.
I too, am having the same problem.
Could you please share the solution with all?
Thanks,

pbarber,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
The issue is now resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused.
This is what happened:
In summary, the wrong error message is being deployed.
You should have gotten “Your software purchases are up to date. You may now close this application.”
Instead, the message you received was that "we are in process of changing this and it should be deployed tonight'
You will also need to restart the app or reboot the system and should clear up this issue.

Hi,
I didn't understand. There is no update of the software on dell's website. I've reboot the system but no change: I still have the error message.
What's wrong? Thanks

Same problem described in the 2011 posts: "Digital delivery cannot connect to internet". I nuked the app on my computer and reinstalled - same error.
I purchased this option with my computer and as yet have been unable to download - help!
