The option to make a recovery CD was dropped some months ago. If you want the CD you will need to call and order it.

If they dropped it, why do they keep sending information about how to do it?  And why don't they tell their phone support people to give us a quick, simple answer?  The phone support people have to be beaten over the head to admit that the "Dell Restore" is not as good as a CD.  Finally, after my 3rd attempt at online chat, I was suddenly told, "We're sorry you are missing one of your parts.  We will send the CDs.  They should arrive within 2 to 3 business days."  And they did.  Thank you again for adding a little bit of sanity to what has been an Alice in Wonderland week.
