Problems with ON Reader (Latitude E4300)
Hi,
First post so optimistic I'll get some help :emotion-2:
I'm trying to use ON Reader, having downloaded and installed the software (v1230, A06).
When starting ON Reader with the function key from cold, get the ON Reader splash screen for a few seconds, then get an 'Error 15'.
Have searched everywhere for an explanation of this, to no avail.
Any suggestions much appreciated...
Luke

Luke,
I think that this is because the On Board Linux that runs the On Reader doesn't understand the RAID controller. Try putting the disks into the most basic setting - you do this in the BIOS. Sorry can't be arsed to reboot and find the proper name for the settings but it is pretty straightforward. A word of warning - I use Vista and when built against the "RAID" setting it fails to boot on the basic setting - so you might need to toggle between these settings.
Hopefully, there will be an easier workaround.

Hi All,
I got my Dell E4300 for almost a month now the same lenght of time trying to fix the On Reader Problem.
Initially the it show Error 15. After re-installing the latest On Reader the error message became Error 17.
It is very frustrating that none from dell support are able to help in fixing this problem - most of them does not even know what "On Reader" is. Really really disappointing. I am hoping that from this community I will be able to find the solution of this issue.
My OS is now upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. Dell send the upgrade CD.
I appreciate all your help.
Regards.
