Re-installing Works

Question

I have re-formatted HD and re-installed Works Suite from original Dell supplied disks (have done so previously with no problem). When I try to use Word 2000 I am asked for CD Key number - the only one I have is for Works which Word doesn't recognise. I am using the same Dimension 4300. Any ideas please?

Make sure it's the key from the CD envelope, not the side of your computer. Make sure you differentiate between zeros and ohs, B and eights.

Thanks for your reply - I only have the key for Works 2001 and cannot find one for Word 2000. Guess I'll have to throw myself to the mercy of Micrsoft!

Thank you very much for your help - Word is now running. The Key no. was correct but I had not realised it was case sensitive. I re-entered it using upper case and Bingo!
