Region Code Change Limit

Does anyone know why there is a limit on the number of times you can change region code?  We're US expat's living in Australia and we have been playing both region 1 and region 4 DVD on our computer--until we apparently ran out of times we can change the region code???  Is there anyway to reset this so we can play region 4 DVD's again?

If there was a way to reset it, telling you how would put the poster in violation of the Terms of Service of the forum, so you're on your own.

Could you please help me? I am an American, currently living in the United States, as for the terms of agreement, and the above posts. Yet, in trying to play DVDs I run into region change issues. Some DVDs are set for countries other than US/Canada. In trying to play such DVDs, I have used up my region code changing number. Is there any way I can possibly reset the values? Or will I need to purchase other software...?
