Reinstalling Microsoft Works Suite 2006

 Micro. Works Suite 8.0 2006 and Word 2002 add on were preinstalled by Dell. I have a 5 disk set that Dell sent for these programs.
 
I plan on deleting them via add/remove programs before adding Office 2007. My question is can I add Works & Word back on the computer via the disks above if Office doesn't meet my needs? I don't want to be left with no alternative.

Office has Word anyway, so your only dilemma might be whether you can install Works or not.

Best thing to do is have a look at the 5 CDs in Windows Explorer and see what's on them. It should be obvious if Works/Word is on one of them.

I have a the Works 8 CD but it is only one CD and does not have Word.

Delierious,
I have a set of 5 disks for Works Suite 2006 which includes Word 2002.
I guess my real question is whether these five disks will reinstall what was originally on the computer if I deleted it all to use Office 2007. From your response I assume they would reinstall everything.

Yes, Office 2007 will run under XP and Vista. You were fortunate to get Word bundled with Works, my disc did not have Word.
