Windows Error - 0xc000000d
When I try to start up my computer, I get this message:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have the disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc000000d
Info: The Windows Boot Configuration Data file is missing required information.
I do not have the installation disc. Windows was preinstalled on my laptop. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Also, I remember setting up weekly backups for restore points in case something like this happened. Is there a way I can access them even with this error?
Thanks for taking the time to read this

As you reside in Canada you may try filling out the online media request form:
www.dell.com/recoverymedia
If you are outside of your warranty period you have to call Dell Technical Support.
