3100 MP Fan Failure

My 3100MP turns off occassionally with a Fan Failure message.  The unit is very hot to the touch when this happens.  Is the fan something that can be replaced?

Unfortunatley my projector is now not under warranty and I was never given the opportunity to extend my warranty so tech support has not been able to help me and I have been transferred to 8 different extensions with no help at all.  If I can not get the extended warranty are there any suggestions of places to get the projector repaired?

I am extremely dissapointed that I was never given the opportunity to extend my warranty and have been basically told by customer services, too bad.  I was actually told some people get notified when their warranty is up and some don't.  I didn't, so tough luck...  I was not too happy with that response.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:

1-Reset the thermal control CPU, sometimes it clears the error message.

2- Disconnect the AC power cord from projector for 5-10minutes

Reconnect AC power cord and power on the projector again.

Hope this helps you otherwise will have to replace projector
