Hi All,

We have a couple of R420 servers running ESXi. I have recently upgraded the ESXi from 5.5 to 6.5 (the latest available from DELL). If I upgrade it to a later vanilla ESXi from VMware, which VIBs do I need and will they were with the vanilla versions of ESXi? The only VIBs I can see from the Dell downloads page for my R420 are the following:

Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator vSphere Installation Bundle (VIB) for ESXi 6.5 U3, v9.4.0

Dell EMC iDRAC Service Module (VIB) for ESXi 6.5 U3 & 6.7 U3, v3.5.1

Dell iDRAC Service Module (VIB) for ESXi 6.5, v2.5

I have done a search and found a post about running non-Dell ESXi and the reply was that the only difference between the vanilla ESXi and Dell's is the custom VIBs.
