R7920 & Windows compatibility

As of Dell’s official documentation, Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC is not listed as a validated or supported operating system for the Dell Precision 7920 Rack.

 

Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 Compatibility Scope
Dell’s Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 Entry Upgrade Solution explicitly lists supported platforms such as:

• OptiPlex 3000 Thin Client
• OptiPlex AIO Gen ID 7410
• Latitude 3440 with Intel Celeron or Pentium processors
• The Precision 7920 Rack is not included in this list, and Dell does not mention it in any IoT-specific deployment guides or upgrade kits.

General Driver and Firmware Support
The Precision 7920 Rack support page includes drivers for Windows 10 and 11, but no mention of IoT Enterprise LTSC editions

Summary

• Validated OS: Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, and Workstation editions are supported.
• Not Validated: Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC is not officially supported or validated for Precision 7920 Rack by Dell.
• Deployment Feasibility: You may still be able to deploy it manually, but Dell will not provide support for OS-specific issues.
