Recovery Point CDP (1 site setup documentation)
Hello, I am looking for the install documentation for setting up a single site in Recover Point. The array will have the source, journal and destination on the same array. I see it blended in with the general recover point install and deployment guide. I was just wondering if there was any thing specifically documenting this.

Hi Doug,
Whether it was a single site with verison 3.* or a single cluster as part of a RP 4 system the requirements are the same.
As RP 4 is the current install code I'll use this as an example. In the doc that you attached you will see that you can perform an install via the RP/SE Installer Wizard or the RP Install Wizard. Both of these wizards allow you to install a single cluster. This will allow to perform local replication only using a CG which consists of two copies, the source copy and local replica copy. Each of these copies has to have a journal assigned to it. If you use the UI via the Manage Protection option to construct a CG the wizard takes you through the required steps that construct the necessary components.These are mandatory requirements and are therefore required even if the CG is constructed via the CLI.
Although you haven't asked about this, if wanted to perform remote replication to one or more clusters, each of these clusters has to be deployed in the same way as the first cluster and then you simply connect them together. There is a wizard in the Deployment Manager Tool which allows you to do this.
