Determining Mirror State
How do you easily determine the state of the mirror? I thought you used to be able to see the state via a tool-tip (hover over the data source). However, that now just shows "Attached" instead of 63% complete (or whatever). Also, when initially synchronizing, a message dialog
sometimes appears on the node's desktop saying the datasource is being duplicated (and don't shut down). Has anyone seen this?
At this point it seems the only way to get the state is to go to the datasource tab and click "information". This makes it very difficult to know when the inital sync is complete.

You can also check the state using the command line utility (whose name eludes me at the moment), but it is not that practical as well.

A hot fix (43387) to address the sync display is available through support for AutoStart version 5.2 SP3 and should be posted on Powerlink in the near future. The fixes have also been implemented in the current AutoStart 5.3 release. To check the sync percentage of the data source from the console, the following steps may be performed:
- Select the data source in the left hand tree-view.
- In the right hand pane select the status tab.
- In the "selected nodes for data source" select the active node.
- At the bottom of the pane there will be 5 button's, click the 4th button which is "Get information from the current data source".
- The results window will now display the data source state of each node and the percentage complete on the target node.
