Extending disk under Autostart 5.3
Hello!
I have 3 node in cluster domain in windows, and one shared disk source.
Disk is LUN from EMC CX500. I need extend LUN via metaLUN.
Can I do it online?
If not, should I deattach shared disk from all node?
Thanks

If I understand the description of this issue correctly, I can offer the following advise.
Currently the Shared Disk Datasource is not tolerant of dynamically changing the size of the disk. This could cause the Shared Disk Datasource to no longer function.
I can suggest a way to do this that should work, although I have not verified it.
- Offline the Resource Group
- Verify the Datasource is Offline
- From the AutoStart console, under the Shared Disk Datasource, Un-manage the drive/disk on both nodes
- At this point you should have normal access to the drive/disk
- Now you should be able to expand the lun as necessary
- After you are done with the expansion...
- From the AutoStart Console, under the Shared Disk Datasource, Manage the drive/disk on both nodes
- Verify the Datasource works correctly (Online/Offline) before bringing the Resource Group online
If you are unfamiliar with the Un-manage/Manage part of the Shared Disk Datasource, refer to the section for the Shared Disk Datasource in the AutoStart Administrators Guide.
Also, I would recommend trying this out in your Test Environment before attempting in Production. Just to be sure you are familiar with the procedure and also to verify that this works as expected.
Hope that this helps.
Best Regards,
Daniel
