That is very useful info. One thing I am missing is to know what requires SRDF. For SAP HA, an enqueue replication process must run on the passive node. This filesystem obviously should not be replicated. It is unclear if Oracle executable filesystems should be implemented with SRDF. I am always comparing how the current system is implemented on Windows MSCS, there sqlsvr executables are installed on both nodes. But this setup is different (Solaris x86,VCS,EMC VMax SRDF) - it seems that Oracle executables as well as Oracle db files should be replicated. The storage administrators have designated all of the filesystems to to SRDF. Is it possible to have all storage SRDF but not use it? Is it possible to have some Luns on the server non-srdf and some srdf? So many questions!
