Switch responds to ACM SQL check

Question

I have enabled the SQL check (port 1433) in ACM for all devices. Curiously, some but not all of our Cisco switches show up as MS-SQL servers. Anyone have an idea why?

My guess (and the only thing I can think of that makes sense) is that the switches are configured for port forwarding, and therefore appear to be listening on port 1433.Have you tried a telnet connection to that port? Or, even better an SQL connection to see what you get? -TC

Makes sense. We went back and changed our filter to only monitor known SQL servers. Thanks for the help.
