Re-open à closed volume ?
Dear all,
I send you this question because I see in a customer site that many volume with a little capacity was closed too far. Many of them are only few kb or Mb.
Is it possible to change the status, to reopen them and to send back in the message center volume or is it impossible and they let definitly in the container volume ?
Thanks very much for your help and your feedback

For the reaseon !! Difficult to explain : maybe a customer error of manipulation !!
Thanks for your fast answer

Unfortunately a close container could not be opened again.
A container gets closed if any of the following conditions are met:
1. Container sits ideal for 5 days and no new emails drops in.
2. Container hits its capacity.
3. Admin chose to close it by right clicking on the volume name in EX Admin GUI and selecting to close it.
There are different other workarounds one could think e.g. unpacking all containers and reprocessing those but that can cause a lot of problems if not done properly, not to mention a lot of overhead of unpacking, disposing and reingestion which will also cause indexing informaiton to be lost. Support will not be supporting this activity to my understanding.
In a nut shell, do not go this path and leave those containers as it is all it is causing is additinal entry in the registry key for showing container in GUI.
Thanks,
Rajan
