unable to close volumes
the message center drive on the EmailXtender server filled up and I tried to go in and manually close volumes but the option to close is grayed out. I'm assuming that the volumes are already closed but they arent moving over to the container drive. Any ideas on how to force this ?

For every Recording, Record Failed and Record Pending state there are few reg keys that plays role, but due to many resons its not recomended to touch those on yourself. Please contact EMC Support to get everything checked and fixed.
Other than registry there are many checkes to be done that support engineer will do with you to make sure your system is in the best possible shape.
Thanks,
Rajan

Examples:
ManageXvlts -l -d D:\Support\3E750C2A2F2516E97A19CD18.xvlt
- Display contents of XVLT file.
ManageXvlts -v -d \20031014214401
- Verify the existence of the MsgCenter File associated
with each XVLT.
ManageXvlts -v -s -d \20031014214401
- Verify the existence of the MsgCenter File associated
with each XVLT and the file size for each entry.
ManageXvlts -v -m C:\Support\OrphanedMsgs -s -d \20031014214401
- Verify the existence of the MsgCenter File associated
with each XVLT, move the orphaned XVLT file and the file size for each entry.
This tool will tell you if there iare some orphaned XVLT file. This XVLT file are pointer to messages in MsgCenter.
If you have some orphaned file, you would must to speak with support.

Record Failed should issue go to support if you cannot close it after couple of attemps.
Thanks,
