2nd hdd caddy

There may be more than one part number; the one I have is 603NY-A00. These are sold on Ebay as 2nd Harddrive Modules and usually no part number is given, as was the case with mine. You should try to get one that has the screws included, as they are difficult to come by after-the-fact.

Hi I wonder if you can help me...I see you also have a hard drive 603NY-a00.  Mine came without any cd.  Do you know where I can get the driver or do you know the name of the driver file?

I have been hunting on the dell site to no avail

Thank you yes it does see it there but does not show up in my computer as having a drive letter assigned.  Is there something I should do?

Did you mount the Drive in the Module circuit board side up? Did you remove any jumper present on the 4 pins used for that purpose? Did you check the drive with Fdisk using a W98 Boot disk, delete any partitions, and  recreate a Primary DOS Partition only? The drive should be recognized by Windows and you should be able to format it under Windows. What size drive and where did it come from? This a bunch of questions, but this way of troubleshooting is literally shooting in the dark.
