Adding a HD a slave
Hi folks, I'd really apreciate any help.
I have an Optiplex GX 240, which came with a 40GN HD. I installed a 80GB, but has been impossible to make they work toghether.
After hours and hours, the 80GB is working, buy when I try to install the other one, the BIOS became crazy and don't recognize any HD. When I take out the 40GB, it was hard to make the 80GB works again. ¡Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My case has just one IDE for two conections: "HD1 and HD2/ZIP"
Do I have to update the BIOS? Mine is A03, and I red there is a A05 version.

A few tips for adding a drive:
1. Make sure the hard drive jumpers are both set to cable select.
2. Boot to the BIOS and make sure both drives are set to AUTO.
3. Boot to XP and go to disk management to configure the drive.
