Application Error - memory could not be written
When I boot up my system, Windows XP loads up, then after a few minutes, I get the following message and the system locks up. The Hard Drive light stays on.
68884698.exe(or some variant) - application error
the instruction at "0x77f582c" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate program

Windows up to date on critical patches, antivirus and firewall up to date and running, spyware scanned?
What app is causing the problems (start-control panel-admin tools -event viewer)?
Have you run the Dell diagnostics on the system, particularly the memory and the hard drive?
