Audio connector for second optical drive
I am fitting a second optical drive to my Dimension 4700. Does anyone know where I connect the audio cable on the motherboard for the second drive?
Many thanks in advance

The existing optical drive, which is a CDRW-DVDROM combi has an audio cable which is attached to the motherboard. The new and second drive, which is a DVDRW is supplied with an audio cable. If the audio cable is not attached from the second drive to the motherboard how will the audio signal transmit from the drive to the speakers?
Many thanks for your initial response.

Ah!! Do you mean the audio signal is transmitted to the sound card, which is a Creative Sound Blaster, 24 - Bit, via the IDE ribbon cable which is connected to the drive?
