Audio connector for second optical drive

You do not need the cable, nor is there any place to plug one. They're only needed for analog playback. Most systems use digital transfer from the drive to your sound card.

The existing optical drive, which is a CDRW-DVDROM combi has an audio cable which is attached to the motherboard. The new and second drive, which is a DVDRW is supplied with an audio cable. If the audio cable is not attached from the second drive to the motherboard how will the audio signal transmit from the drive to the speakers?

It's not needed. They're only needed for analog playback. Since newer systems transfer data digitally from the drive to your sound card, the cable is not needed.

Ah!! Do you mean the audio signal is transmitted to the sound card, which is a Creative Sound Blaster, 24 - Bit, via the IDE ribbon cable which is connected to the drive?
