Bad system file name,File$(48)
I am trying to merge a single partition "D" "40 gb" back into "C""40 gb" in an 80 gb seagate HD. Chkdsk is not detecting any errors on D, however partition magic 8.0 keeps saying that there are bad system file names, 9 and 11 in the master file system of the drive.
I am not sure how to correct this problem, I tried to defrag the NFS through boot defrag "diskmagic" but that did not fix the problem, even reformatting did not help.
If anyone can help or guide me to a more productive next step, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Carol
