Bios problem with second hard drive
Hi from England
I have installed my new Hitachi Deskstar 120gb drive but the bios wont reconise either the hard drive's or the cd & dvd rom drives.
I follwed the dell insruction on how to fit a hard drive but it still wont work, can anyone help?

Try this
1st ensure all IDE cables are properly seated.
Then boot to BIOS, turn on caps lock, scroll lock, & Number lock. Press ALT+E then ALT+F save settings & exit.
Upon reboot the BIOS will redetect all IDE devices.
If you still have a problem, then try disconnecting new drive & repeat the redetection.

I thought you had solved the problem but it went straight back to the BIOS.
I removed the second hard drive and did it again and it reconised the three drives.
My 8200 is working off BIOS A03, anything you can suggest would be appreciated.
