C400 boot from CD ?

Is it possible to boot the C400 from a CD drive fitted to the docking station ?

I can't figure it out.

Thanks

I'm having the exact same problem. I have a new hard drive to install and I can't seem to boot from the cd/dvd in order to install my operating system. Have you found a solution yet? If so, could you email me at alwaysoperating@yahoo.com if you have. I would really appreciate it. I've been going crazy trying to fix this problem and because I haven't been able to install my new HD, my old one is about to bust at the seams! thanks in advance for your help! Jeff B. Seattle, Wa.

I have the same issue, C400 new disk, C/Dock II witch DVD/CD drive and I can't boot from it.

I can curn and read from the drive in the dock from the old disk.

Any help would be appreciated. The system is only looking for network devices. BIOS A12

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

You can try to install WinME on the new Hard Drive with a different PC, then reinstall it on the C400 and try to upgrad the OS to WinXP (You have to use external USB CD driver or copy the WinXP CD on a flash drive and then run the set-up inside the C400)
