Can't do anything in BIOS

I have a new hard drive for my Latitude CpX. When I boot up and press F12 from the post screen it goes into the BIOS, but there I see that the new hard drive is not recognized by the BIOS and I am unable to move around in the BIOS screens with my arrow, alt-p, or any other buttons.

How am I supposed to format the new drive? How can I get it recognized? I upgraded BIOS from A06 to A14 - no difference, exactly the same problem.

Any ideas?

Let me guess, you have a hard drive that is 80Gb or larger... Right?

The CP series has a bios "feature" that does this with drives larger than 60Gb. (80Gb and larger) You can use the drive without a problem, but to access BIOS you will need to remove the drive first.

Just pop it back in after you are finished in Setup.

Good Luck.
