CD Burner stopped working

I was always able to burn a cd of music stored on my computer then is just stopped. If i try it goes through the process until about 98% then ejects. I can play a pre recorded cd's only, the driver QSI CDRW/DVD SBW243U my system 32 bit windows XP and the dell site tells me OptiPlex GX270. I have been into device manager and uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, rolled back, with no luck. I do not know if i deleted somthing somewhere while attempting to get the thing going i saw that the device was "idle" but i could not click onto anything to "unidle" the thing. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi The Blade,

What program are you using to burn audio discs? Did you try the XP burning wizard utility?
