CD-R drive

You should start by telling us what model computer you have. Check device manager (Right click My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device manager) and find the model of your CD drive and post that as well.

B130 Inspiron laptop, CD drive is TSST Corp CDRW/DVD TSL 4626. Computer 14 months old and drive has been used 4/5 x total.

 

Encountering similar  situation. CD in, starts a second or two of attempted spin with drive lite and then quits. Applies to all CDs.
