CD/DVD drive not recognized by ChurchPlus program
When I backup files from church PC (ChurchPlus program) to my CD-r, the program lists "D" as a choice. When I restore at home to my PC from the CD-r, it lists "D" as a choice. BUT, when I try to backup the changed files to the CD-r, "D" is not listed as a choice. My computer at home is Inspiron 620 and the diagnosis I ran says everything passed. Can anyone help me with this? Other financial associates at church are able to do their backups with no problem. Any help appreciated.

That error refers to a missing entry in the registry. It has nothing to do with whether you have registered the program. My suggestion would be to contact PowerChurch Plus support for help with that error, or possibly check in their forums.
I was able to find this message that pertains to the same error. The posted solution is to go to Help > About PowerChurch Plus and right click on the System Information tab. Choose Run Netsetup.

Hi Linda,
I assume this is Windows 7. Would you confirm the model of your CD/DVD drive from device manager?
I'm checking support for PowerChurch Plus software. Is that the application? Can you tell me the version?

Power Church 10.
Looking for the model # of my CDRom drive: it just says Standard CD-Rom drive. On the papers that came with my computer, it says 16x DVD+/-RW Drive.

To find the model of your drive, go to device manager by hitting the Windows key, typing device manager and selecting it from the list. Expand CD/DVD drives and it will list the model.
Checking the support forum for your software, I see backup to DVD was added in version 10.4. I suspect upgrading to a newer version would improve compatibility with more DVD burners. Obviously, the PC at church has a drive the software likes and your home PC does not.
Another idea. If you are simply transporting files back and forth between work and home, a flash drive is going to have better compatibility and capacity than a CD-R.

I have now added upgrade 10.4 to my home version 10. It appeared to be working as it listed my D drive, but then gave me an error: OLE error code OX 80040154, class not registered. OLE object is being ignored. So I registered, but it still gives me the error.
