CD/DVD not read by bios
I have a dimension 8400 with a cd drive and a dvd drive. I installed a new lite on cd drive and now nothing works. Neither is read by the bios. I have double checked the seating of all cables, I have checked the jumpers and tried all kinds of combinations. I even reinstalled the original cd drive and still no bios read. I also tried just the dvd drive and it is the same...no recognition by the bios.
Any ideas I would appreciate.

I know how to get into setup and the bios page, however, I don't understand what you mean by "reset bios default".
