Cleaning up MBR
I have two hard drives on my dimension 8100 and use winME. One of the hard drives is for winME and the other is for Linux. I believe the second hard drive with linux has failed and I cannot reinstall Linux. However the mbr in the windows hard drive still has the setup (grab) on it. It will not open linux but I can open windows ME with it. My question how do I clean up the MBR so just the windows ME comes up?

Copy the sys.com command from c:\windows\command to a:\ (copy c:\windows\command\sys.com a:\)
Boot to the floppy.
At the command line type
sys c:
The boot sector will be rewritten and the linux boot loader gone afterward.
