delete windows partition and Dell diagnostic

Dimension 2400
If I delete the windows partition in setup to reinstall XP, will I wipe out the Dell diagnostic area on the drive. In disk management I show Disk 0 Basic 74.50 GB online- 31 mb unallocated and 1 74.47 NTFS Healthy (System) partition .

No, you will not hurt the diagnostic partition.
