Dimension 8100 and Second Hard Disk
Hi,
Does anyone know how to get my Dimension 8100's BIOS to recognise my new second hard drive once it's installed?????
Please help, cause I'm going insane

Also, the hard drive needs partitioning and formating to be recognized by windows. Which version of windows are you running?

After the second HD is installed, set to "Auto" [on] in the BIOS and then in order for windows to recognize the second hard drive, it must be patitioned and formatted. These are generic instructions for installing an additional hard drive using Windows XP Disk Management, they are by Seagate, but apply to
all brands.
