Dimension 8400: Hot Swap problems
Hi!
I have a Dimension 8400 with two internal SATA hard drives (3,5), a DVD-R/RW in one bay (5,25) and a 'data castle'/hard drive rack in the second bay for the ability to use with (and swap) my old IDE-drives (6 of them).
The hard drive rack is connected to a SATA-port using a SATA to IDE adapter/converter - and it finally works OK after trying out different converters.
I can now use the drives as before when they used the PATA connection.

But I can't get the 'hot swap' ability to work, wich would be nice, instead of having to reboot alla the time after changing drives.
I can't find anything about 'hot swap' inte the BIOS/Setup menu !?!?

Does Dimension 8400 not support 'hot swap'??
What else can be the problem ??
Anyone else with similar problems ??

Thanks!
I guess I'll have to wait and see if there will be any support developed in the future then...
