Dimension 8400 problem with WinXP setup
hi
I want to reinstall WinXP prof on my dimension 8400 with raid0. I got the intel raid acceleration floppy from the dell homepage and press f6 to add additinal iastor.sys, iastor.inf and iastor.cat drivers. Everything seems to work fine. The setup finds my hdds and i start the installation.
Then it sais "the file iaStor.sys(*.inf, *.cat as well) could not be found". I can let those files out by pressing esc or cancel the setup by pressing f3. If i let them out the setup continues. But after coping the necessary files to my pc and restarting i see the windows start screen and then a bluescreen with the error message "*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF7C7B524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).
It cant be the windows cd since i can install it with raid off without any problems. The floppy is ok too. I tried 3 different ones and 2 different floppy drives.
Can anybody help me? I really have no clue anymore.... :-/

i solved the prob. just installed win without raid. then i installed win with raid on till the bluescreen. turned raid off again, started the other windows and copied the iastor files manual to the other win folder. raid on again -> no more bluescreen -> me happy. ^^
