If you are saying you want to move everything to a new HD, then you need software to do that.  Some HDs come with software.  Maxtor has MaxBlast for free and it is made by Acronis.  It only works if you have a Maxtor or Seagate drive in the machine, but it will copy everything to the new HD so you can just boot it up and everything was as before.  You can also buy True Image from Acronis which will work with any drive.  I use True Image and it works nicely.

Make sure you enable the drive in the BIOS (F2 at boot).  Go to the Drives 0 to 3 screen and enable the port you connected the drive to.  See here.

I only need  to swith  new   [  more big ]    Hard Drive.

 

Windows  and  all  sotfware  and  aplications.    Al  least   my  Windows  XP  of  the original Desktop.
