Disk check on every startup
Inspiron 5100 XP SP3
On every startup the computer says "disk Check is scheduled" and immediately starts a disk check which takes over an hour. I can cancel by hitting ESC, but same on every startup. Seems like I could uncheck something on msconfig/startup but which startup item? Any help?

I also posted this on Software/ Windows XP. Bay Wolf gave me a link with a solution involving getting in the registry. It Worked. The chkdsk is scheduled for next startup when unable to run. Schedule should clear after running, but did not. The linked site has specific instructions to correct problem. Check out Forum Home/Software/Windows XP/
