Diskette Drive 0 Seek Failure

After i did this, My computer restarted after i exited the system Utility, But now i have another issue.

It restarted my computer but now it bring up the regular Safe mode, Safe Mode with Networking, And other.

So i hit Start windows Normally, but then the computer just restarted again, and it constantly continues to do that.

If you don't have a floppy [diskette] drive installed, enter the system setup [F2 on startup] and check that the Diskette option is set to off and see if this makes a difference.

Have you made any changes to the Dimension 8400 recently?

Why was the CMOS battery replaced?

I noticed that you posted, there's 5gb of RAM installed, the 8400 only supports 4gb [4 x 1gb modules].

When this happens, what colour is the power button LED and is it blinking, or solid?

Also, check the sequence of the diagnostic lights on the back panel of the case.

i've fixed the beeping problem.. It was one of the Memory cards.. One of them weren't good. So now My system has 2gb Ram, And The only problem now is.. Its constantly Restarting, I've looked at the Diagnostic Light sequence and Its None. All of them are Green. The Front Panel Light is Steady Green. Its just restarting it self.

My other problem is.. Sometimes when i start the computer it just starts to go mad. The Fan starts to blow real fast, Nothing loading, and its just trying to over heat itself but this problem only happens a couple of times, Usually when the computer looses power, or just does it randomly.

Yeah i did add another 2gb of Ram. I had 3 gb before.

Now that you've told me about that my computer supports only 4gb. I've removed the other Memory Card.

Now everytime i start it up it constantly just beeping. I also have another problem that doesn't concern the Diskette Drive or the ram.

I also replaced the CMOS battery because the old one was about 1-2 Years old and it was almost out of juice.

Are you able to start the computer in safe mode?

Try removing all the peripherals, except the keyboard and mouse, also remove and reinstall the PCIe x16 video card, then see what happens.

Osprey, No i am not able to start it in safe mode.

Bev, I'm not sure what peripherals are, I'm not that good in computers, but the video card Ill try that also.

I've taken out all the usb cords, Graphics card. I started the computer and it started to go for like.. 2 minutes then it restarted it self again.

The computer doesn't have any other graphics card, So it just restarted itself.

Peripherals means anything connected to the outside of the computer.

Did you check the four diagnostic lights?

Yes i did check the four lights..THey were all Green, Which meant Nothing was wrong.
