You maybe better off purchasing a slim external USB optical drive as it will likely be the cheapest option, especially if you don't plan on using the drive very often.

On the other hand, if you plan on using the optical drive often, I'd recommend purchasing an external 5.25" USB drive enclosure and pairing it with an internal 5.25" optical drive of your choice. The downside is that this enclosure will be much bigger than the slim drive, not as portable, and requires its own dedicated power supply. However, you'd be able to read/write at speeds faster than what a slim drive is capable of achieving, with better durability as well.
