DVD-Burner

I have a C810 and I would like to know if the NEC ND-6650 will work in this unit as a *FIXED* drive. I took out the Toshiba DVD-ROM / CD-RW model I have and compared the connector to the NEC drive and to me they look the same. Would like to know before I drop $$ on the NEC drive.
