DVD Rom not detected

Hi Jamojo.

Go to Device Manager, if you are getting Code errors, per say Code 19, 31, 39, 41; then the issue is more thanlikely the Upper & Lower Filters.
Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 12, article 10 (ignore the reference to Roxio)
Otherwise, same CD/RW link, try Section 20, article 3; Section 11, article 2 (reloading the IDE controller & Clearing the NVRAM)
