DVD ROM not working
I have a DELL OPTIPLEX 760 which is running UBUNTU 9.04. I purchased a DVD ROM drive module and it's not being recognised at all, but the DVD ROM works on another PC which has similar settings. I have checked the BIOS under System-Up and the Drive is Enabled. Any ideas are welcomed.

Hi, fingers2010:
In the Dell, the drive jumper must be set to cable select. Check that first.

Hi Osprey4
My drive is a Western Digital VelociRaptor which does not have a diagram which shows how to set the drive jumper to cable select. Do you have any ideas of how I can set this up. I have looked at the manuals and there is not much details of how to do this.

Western Digital is your hard drive. But the hard drive and optical drive jumpers look pretty much the same, like this picture.
