Hi mooshon,
I would suggest you to run the ‘Fixit’ tool from the link below to check if it fixes the issue with DVD read/write problem.

ok both of the links didn't work for me,it tells me that some things fixed but it still does not read the disks empty or those i burned.
i will try to change the type of the disks (GP) maybe this is what cause the problem.
thanks.

Hi mooshon,
Please let me know if you are able to see the DVD drive in the Windows explorer screen?
Also, please follow the instructions in the link below to fix the issue with the DVD drive.

If the Fixit tool does not fix the issue then please perform the manual steps under Resolution 3: Manually fix corrupted registry entries in the link above.

what do you mean if i can see the DVD drive in the windows explorer screen?
i see it in my computer...
the problem is not that the computer does not recognize the DVD drive, but the DVD drive does not recognize some disks that i put into it.
the disks is from the type of GP, when i put in SILVER LINE cd and mp3 disks (not DVD because i dont have it now) it is recognize it,so i'm thinking it's specificly the GP type.

Hi Mooshon,
If your DVD drive cannot read DVD discs but can read CDs, then most likely the drive has failed. You can run the Dell diagnostics to confirm. Please refer to my troubleshooting guide (link below).
