dvd
hi i have tried recently to play a dvd on my computer which is a dell dimension 8250 but it won't play i have put the dvd in and played it on the tv so i know it is not the dvds i have tried diferent ways to try and get it to play it says no disc please insert a disc is there a upgrade or a patch i need any help would be appreciated

You need to provide more information before anyone can help.
1. What is the model number of your drive (both if you have two)? You'll find this in device manager (Right click My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device manager).
2. What is the name of the program you use to watch DVDs on your computer?
3. How long has it been since your computer was unable to play DVD movies?
