DW 316 Issues Reading Discs
I have been having issue for quite a while with our DW316 DVD/CD drives. Sometimes it will recognize a DVD or CD, sometimes it won't. I have provided users with a MS fixit tool, but sometimes, this only fixes it temporarily.
ANyone have issues with the DW316?
Having issues on but Latitude 7370 and Optiplex 7040.

Check the supported CD/DVD types. Page 14.Then verify that the users are using suported media.
Ask the users =
* Be sure to boot the computer into windows before connecting the external DW316
* Before shutting the computer off, stop the application software that is using the DW316, then disconnect the DW316 from the computer, then turn the computer off
