error message says Windows cannot read from the disk.

I have a Dell Notebook 9300 Insperion: and this

error message says Windows cannot read from the disk. The disk might be corrupt, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows. Then it says Disk is not Formtted." It has been doing this for about 3 months now/.

What causes this? I don't remember removing or changing anything. How does it just disappear and how come I have no memory left even on the C:/ drive.

a ny help is greatly appreciated!!!

"when I go into the D:/ it says I have no free space! that means no memory right? from what I can find in the help & support, I need to uninstall the driver and re-install it..

What Operating system do you have?  What kind of disc are you trying to read?
Is it a DVD or a CD?  Is it a blank disc or a data disc?
