Kanti,

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.

I would recommend that you post this in the Software section under your current operating system.  I really believe they are not related to the hard drive but software.

Also, include as much information as possible such as when you get these messages exactly, what model Dell you have and so on.  The more information you can provide, the better the results.

Michael,

Many thanks for your response. I have already posted the issue in Windows XP's section. I am now contacting my friend to get more information.

Why these days I am not getting email messages when someone replies to my message?

Kanti,

I'm not sure I understand your question concerning e-mails.  Are you saying that you are not getting responses from Dell's e-mail support group?

Your email problem is being caused by your Email program settings.

Your "E-mail Address" and/or "Reply Address" is probably misspelled. To look at the current settings using Outlook Express, do the following :

Tools menu

Accounts option

Mail tab

select the email account that is causing the problem and choose Properties (on the right side of the window)

In the General tab look at your E-mail Address and Reply Address information and confirm they are correct.

Note: you do not need to specify a Reply Address if you want replies to be sent back the to E-mail Address. It is there for people that want replies sent to a different email account then the one being used to send the message. That is probably a really confusing explanation, so my apologies in advance.

Hi,

I don't think it is a problem with my email settings as I have been getting replies notifications from the forum for a long time now. The probelms are started with this thread. In fact, Reply Address box is blank and has been blank for a long time.

However, I have now inserted my primary email address in Reply Address box to see how it work.

Hi,

You are right. It was a problem with my email. Very recently, I had changed my email address (to hotmail) in forum's my profile without realising that I was suppose to enter the same address in Reply Box. I found all the replies in hotmail mailbox which I generally don't check regularly.

It was in oreder before not having anything in Reply Box as I had my ISP's primary email address in forum's my profile.

I appreciate your help.
