error msg OE : 0197 : BFF8E64B

Question

In the middle of using Explorer  I get the blue screen saying there is an error which is 0E : 0197 : BFF8E64B. This is in addition to constant freezing of the computer.  I am using Windows ME and version 6.0.2600.00IS   I also get the error TAR.FMT caused by Explorer.

Depends on if you use the program or not.  Have you scanned for any viruses or used AdAware and Spybot to look for malware?  www.download.com for those freebies.
